These Ascent Shorts are based on the same Ascent cycling gear we manufacture for teams all over the globe. Crafted from 190g Italian lycra and featuring flatseam stitching and Pactimo's innovative yoga waistband for women, this short has been designed, constructed and tested for serious riders.
Using all the same technical performance materials and superb design as our Ascent Pro Shorts, these shorts incorporate the Ultra-soft Silicone Gripper at the leg openings as opposed to Compression Band.
This short will exceed expectations in a variety of weather, road and trail conditions.
Avertini represents the finest in nylon/lycra performance fabrics. The fine yarn gauge and micro needle knit offer enduring elasticity and recovery, while our engineered yarn blend and construction provide lasting durability. This combination creates a soft and durable garment with superior compression.
The Italian made Cytech chamois is the ultimate top-end cycling short insert, developed after thousands of hours of wear testing to curve perfectly with human anatomy where it meets the saddle. Covered with a specifically constructed breathable microfibre, this chamois is naturally bacteriostatic and incorporates the all-way stretch of the unique Elastic Interface® Technology, designed to relieve pressure and provide maximum comfort and performance.

I loved these shorts from the first ride. Very comfortable, great chamois, sleek look. Definitely recommend them. My go-to shorts now, better than some pricier brands.

These are by far the best shorts I've come across in 8 years of cycling. I have spent a lot of money and tried so many brands of cycling shorts, and this is the first time I've been this satisfied. I ride anywhere from 6000-8000 miles a year and I am extremely picky about my gear and my bike fit. I own three pair of these now, and intend to keep buying more so I can replace the other brands in my closet that I'm not going to want to wear now anyway. The fabric is durable and breathes, and the leg grippers keep the shorts in place without digging in .... but the best thing is the chamois. This chamois has good coverage, density, fits my body, and breathes. No more shifting on the saddle ... I don't notice anything but comfort now.

These are my second pair of Ascent shorts, they are so comfortable I had to get another pair! The informational tag that comes with the Ascent cycling short talks about how the Elastic Interface Technology is the "original elastic pad technology for cycling shorts, developed after extensive R&D, for the most comfortable cycling shorts ever." Boy, they're not kidding. Hands down, this is the most comfortable chamois in a cycling short that I've worn, and the silicone grippers on the legs have the right amount of tension and grip without being too tight. I've worn my first pair of Ascent shorts many times, on rides anywhere from 20 to 60 miles-- but I wouldn't hesitate to go further in them in the future. I decided that I needed more than one pair so that I can ditch the other brand shorts that are still lingering in my closet. Follow the care instructions on the tag and hang dry, and you're good to go! Highly recommend!

I had these shorts as part of my team's kit and they were quickly my absolute favorites. so I ordered the Tour short, thinking they would be the same short- close but not quite. After the Pactimo reps helped me figure out which shorts I had in the kit, I ordered these and they are the very best. Although the chamois is the same in both the tour short and the Ascent, the fabric is different - tour short is shinier and the fabric is thinner, the Ascent short fabric is more of a matte finish and a thicker weave, which means they lay "flatter" - less fabric movement/rippling, and possibly more supportive. The leg length is the same on both shorts. I'm 125, 5'3" and lower body dominant.- size M in both shorts was the correct choice for me. I tried on the S in the tour short but the thigh area was too snug. Highly recommend these shorts - I have a pair of high end Castellis that I paid way too much for, and these are so much better.

I can always count on Pactimo bike shorts, but the Ascent short is a great product. Whether it's a long group ride, or solo effort, these shorts last multiple seasons and the chamois quality is excellent.
