Fast forward to today.  Cycling brands want to maintain their margins, so they develop a few styles up to two years in advance and hire outside factories to produce them in as large quantities as possible.  They then have to sell these garments to stores who often purchase in bulk 6-9 months in advance.  You, then, are stuck with that design, whether you like it or not.  And once you’ve seen it, you’ve seen it all.  Until, of course, next season’s garments which were also designed…(ahem)…last year.
