These Summit shorts feature the same technical materials and components as the Summit bibs we manufacture for elite cyclists and professional teams. They have been designed, constructed and tested for serious riders who are going to be in the saddle for 60 - 100 miles (or more!) at a time.
For extreme durability and comfort, the Summit chamois features Italian Elastic Interface® technology. Swiss engineered Eschler Powergrid fabric provides compression to your muscles, moves perspiration away from your skin, and protects you with SPF 50+ UV protection. Extra wide leg grippers comfortably support without binding.
The Summit Short is our top of the line, high performance garment, offering the best of both worlds – competitive performance and amazing comfort.
Fabric Details
Eschler PowerGrid is a Swiss-made fabric designed to actively absorb perspiration without drying the skin. Thanks to the hygienic, skin-friendly qualities, and freedom of movement, Eschler fabrics ensure outstanding wearer comfort. While engineered to keep the body warm in cold weather, the fabric also helps to regulate the climate against the skin, and thus ensure optimal thermal balance of the body in warm weather as well. Membrane technology makes the fabric wind and water resistant, making Eschler fabrics good protection against the elements while allowing air circulation and promoting optimal breathability.
Chamois Details
The Italian made Cytech chamois is the ultimate top-end cycling short insert, developed after thousands of hours of wear testing to curve perfectly with human anatomy where it meets the saddle. Covered with a specifically constructed breathable microfibre, this chamois is naturally bacteriostatic and incorporates the all-way stretch of the unique Elastic Interface® Technology, designed to relieve pressure and provide maximum comfort and performance.

Have worn these shorts a couple dozen times and they are very comfortable and fit well. The material has been great on hot Texas days! Will definitely order from Pactimo again.

Great fit, look good and ride easy even after 4 hours cycling. Can't go wrong with these.

Excellent - I really like these shorts. The material feels great on my legs and did not bunch up, nor feel too tight. The shorts that arrived don't look exactly like the ones in the picture on-line, but they are even better - having the red Pactimo logo rather than the words "Pactimo" on the shorts. The band at the bottom of each leg, which is about 2 inches wide, is a bit looser than I expected, but they did not crawl up on my legs while riding. Overall they are the best shorts I've bought, and I always buy the best quality - my next buy will be this exact same thing.

Been meaning to write a review on these for sometime now, and figured a year and plenty of miles later should be sufficient impetus to finally do so. I had previously purchased a pair of Ascent shorts and was reasonably happy with them. The Summits went on sale a few months later and I had to try them out...I rarely wear the Ascents anymore unless they are the only shorts in the clean pile. The Summits are simply the most comfortable shorts I have had the pleasure of riding in. With clean lines and amazing articulation with the lay out of the panels and chamois I never feel the grind of a 60+ mile outing. Nor any kind of heat build up on those warmer summer days. and to give a bit of proof positive to how well built these things are, I hit the deck on some slightly wet roads whilst cornering a turn at around 20+mph. I landed directly on my hip and slid across and through the corner. Depsite the fact that I now have a permanent scar on my hip from the roadrash 6 months later, you would never know that I was wearing one of my pairs of Summits while I skidded across the asphalt. I could not possibly recommend these with anymore urgency. Buy a pair now!

Have had some disappointing experiences in the past with some shorts so when I find some that work well I don't change company or style very often. These were a welcome change very comfortable pad not bulky leg grips tight, good when down in drops or little more upright recovering. Have worn them maybe 1/2 dozen times and on 1 century have not had any issues. Happy with purchase

When ordering a new brand one never knows what to expect,. , especially when it comes to biking clothes I bought a well known European brand jersey to match my bike in a 3x, and it fit like a small girl's size. These pants are cut.for Americans, and the fit is excellent. When riding the bike they do not ride down, nor does the seat catch under the chamois after standing on the pedals. Buy these , and you to will be pleased

I think I have made a very good purchase. I've done a few rides and like the shorts quite a bit.

The quality appears to be first rate. however, it's premature for me to say more because I just received the product & haven't had time to wear it & decide if its durable & will hold its shape.

These are now my favorite shorts, on initial examination the pad seemed bulky but when I put them on it felt perfect. It felt even better after I was on the bike for several hours. The waist is high which I like and legs are longish but not horribly long like some are trending toward. The sizing was spot on when I used the sizing chart, 6ft 160lbs fit the med perfectly. Great construction. After many washings 20+ no issues with construction which is better than any other brands I've used. To bad they ran out of my size so quickly after giving them a try. I will definitely be giving their bibs and jerseys a try. I also purchased leg arm and knee warmers and love them all.

These are so comfy.

Great for the hot summer rides here in the South. These are the most comfortable riding pants I own. This makes the long rides easier to manage. Also, the customer service that Matt provides along with a great product make this a unbeatable deal.

the first few times the chamos was stiff, but after a few rides and washes I moved the summit shorts to the front of the closet

I have used the Summit shorts for the past two months for all my training rides as well as for a metric century.
I have tried shorts from several manufactures and the Summit shorts from Pactimo are by far the best for long rides under the warm to hot conditions we experience here in Phoenix, AZ.
The well vented fabric, the plush chamois and unique style of leg grippers all combine to make the Summit short the most comfortable short I have found.
Oh, and if you ever need it, Pactimo's customer service is first rate!

I have had a chance to ride in the summit shorts for both some short and long rides. Even on the long rides, they helped keep quite comfortable and cool. They helped maintain good blood circulation and no signs of numbness. I really like the inner linings on the legs which help grip nicely.

Put these on for a 32-mile ride yesterday. The chamois was very comfortable, soft. Loved the grippers - kept the shorts from rising without squeezing or binding my leg; best grippers I've worn yet. The mesh fabric is extremely well ventilated, keeping me cool; I barely noticed the shorts were there. Highly recommend!

After using the Summit Bibs through the winter here in Tucson and loving the feel of the Escher fabric, as well as the excellent chamois and great value; with the heat coming on, I decided to give the Summit Shorts a try. The Summit Shorts are perfect for hot weather riding. They have the same high quality fabric and chamois as the Summit Bibs, with less coverage for better ventilation. I appreciate the way the waist band effectively keeps the shorts up while in the riding position and like the less substantial gripper that allows the shorts to ride up a little higher above the knee. These shorts keep me feeling and looking cool.
