Product Description

“Rained out” is for baseball, not cycling! When the skies open up, pull out the Ultra-Lite Clear Rain Jacket.

You will love this jacket. Unlike so many rain slicks made with suffocating plastic, this Ultra-Lite is built from super light, stretchable and waterproof fabric. The fully vented design keeps you comfortable, while strategically placed reflective detailing keeps you safe.

When the sun comes out, this technical and functional jacket packs up nice and tight to fit in your jersey pocket.

You won't want to hit the road or trail without it.

  1. Hard to explain...

Posted by ZVT on 22nd May 2013

It's hard to even explain how great this jacket is. It's some sort of plastic material that is stretchy so it feels cool and is totally waterproof. Even better is that it's not like wearing a trash bag at all. I had an old rain jacket I used to use and it was like getting cling wrapped and and tossed in the sauna. This jacket breathes so you don't feel like you're getting more drenched from sweat than you would be from the rain.

  2. Versatile as advertised

Posted by Unknown on 3rd Apr 2013

This is my first cycling jacket period, so I just gave 4 stars due to my inability to compare with what else is out on the market. After reading the reviews here, I took the plunge and bought one for myself and my wife. First, the sizing chart worked perfect with both our jackets fitting great (no balloon jackets here). The versatility that was talked about in other reviews is what I was after, and I was not disappointed. My main use is as a wind breaker (over a SS jersey and arm warmers it works great for my 45-50degree weather). Covers around lower back great, nice zipper, and fits in rear pockets as advertised. Hopefully, I won't make a habit of getting caught in the rain, but if I do I have confidence in this product.
I will be purchasing other products in the future as this was my first and I am very pleased!!!

  3. Best rain jacket for the price

Posted by Randy Warren on 14th Feb 2013

I just spent 4 days riding in California and one of those days was cool (near 40 degrees) with some rain and hail! My new Pactimo Ultra-Lite Clear Cycling Rain Jacket was GREAT! It packed neatly and compactly in my pocket until I needed it and then, once it was out, kept me comfortable and dry. I don't know of another rain jacket that performs this well at anywhere near this price!

  4. How'd I ever live with out it!

Posted by LKonkol on 17th Oct 2012

Every cyclist should owe one of these. I borrowed one from a friend, he never got it back…. I spent 2 hours in a high mountain monsoon and my upper body was completely dry. It breaths so you don’t drown in your own sweat and is lightweight to pack for every ride.

  5. Super Versitile

Posted by RoddW on 25th Jul 2012

This jacket will perform well as both a light weight rain jacket or top layer to cut the wind on chilly mornings. Compare to other jackets that are over the top too expensive, or thicker ones that will not compress down to fit nicely in your jersey pocket--this is one jacket that will do it all!

  6. Best Value

Posted by drrew on 11th Jul 2012

I looked at a number of less and more expensive raingear options for me and my girlfriend and settled on the pactimo clear cycling jacket without even seeing it or trying it on. Jackets that I tried on in various bike and outdoor gear stores in a similar price range had very lttle ventilation in the underarms and just seemed too heavy whereas the pactimo has fully vented underarms that also provide more flexibility. The more expensive ones were..well, way more expensive for the amount of riding we planned on doing in bad weather. As noted in other reviews the jacket is quiet, easily packed. A great buy in my opinion. For guys with wider shoulders and a more.. lets say burly build size up.

  7. Well fitting top layer

Posted by Stew on 6th Jun 2012

I bought this because of the semi-form fit description hoping for a better fit than my current windbreaker. It did not disappoint. I did not get any audible flutter until I was going 35MPH into a 25 MPH headwind. It was nice to hear the wind in my ears on a cool mountain descent instead of my jacket flapping. I am sure it will also work well in the rain so it is now the only top layer I will carry.

  8. Rain jacket in Tucson? Think wind Jacket.

Posted by RAD on 21st Dec 2011

13+ days of rain in Tucson since November, and I didn't have this jacket. Then again, I could wait the rain out. Did wear it today, no rain, but temp in the low 30s. Wore it over a vest and arm warmers. Worked great as a wind jacket that I stuffed in my vest pocket when it warmed up. This is a great alternative to my thermal jacket.
